Safeco
Eligibility: Cats or dogs eight weeks or older are eligible for Safeco Pet Insurance. Your clients can purchase Safeco Pet Insurance regardless of whether they are already Safeco policyholders.
Not Eligible: Dogs over the age of 13 and cats over the age of 15 are not eligible for new pet insurance policies. Any policy issued before the covered pet(s) has reached those ages may be renewed during the lifetime of that pet at Safeco's discretion, so long as the coverage remains continuously in force.
Two kinds of Policies
1. Accident & Illness: This policy includes Accidental injuries, Illnesses, Alternative medicine, Behavioral therapy, Hereditary and congenital conditions, Ingestion of a foreign object, Euthanasia or anesthesia, Cremation and burial expenses or Accidental death
2. Accidents, Illness & Wellness: This policy includes everything covered under the Accident & Illness policy; plus, fixed payment amounts for Wellness and Preventive care. There is a 14-day waiting period for all coverages.
Progressive
Progressive provides pet injury coverage as a part of their Automobile policy. Pet Injury coverage comes complimentary with Collision coverage.
Progressive will pay up to $1000 to help with veterinary bills and medicine if your dog or cat is injured in an accident while riding with you.
